Exams have always been know to be multiple choice questions, it has been the foundation of gaining a certification since the first exams were written. But in 2005, Microsoft began using simulation-based questions. And now 7 years later, CompTIA is going to follow suit.
October 2012 will see the first Performance-based questions on the CompTIA A+ exams, then towards the end of the year they will appear in the Network+ exams, and finally the Security+ in the start of 2013.
The exams will potentially not be as easy, but if you learn your stuff, it will be a breeze. Students will perform tasks and solve problems to answer the questions using a simulated environment. Read more on the changes to be ready here.
