What is MCSE?

A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is a certified professional who has the knowledge and skills to work with concepts and systems of networking.
The MCSE cert demonstrates that the professional is skilled in designing, implementing, and administering infrastructures, based on Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server.
The Microsoft MCITP Enterprise & Server Administrator certification is the latest "MCSE 2008”. It has replaced the MCSE and MCSA on Server 2003.

If you have the MCSE 2003, you can upgrade your certification by certifying in the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) on Windows Server 2008 certifications.
