Brands marketing spends shows a spike just before the holiday season

The Holiday season in 2014 seems to start  on a promising note . A recent study by  Nielsen  shows that brands are starting to spend more this holiday season .  The spike  looks  promising and that is good news  just before the Holidays .

The traditional gift categories found notable  increase as  advertisers in every category spent more on advertising during last year’s fourth quarter holiday season than they did five years ago, with tech products (26%), video games (23%), books (21%), kitchen/cookware (46%) and jewelry (42%) leading the charge. in ad spending moving into the fourth quarter as consumers begin to brainstorm their holiday shopping lists.
