 Thanksgiving ,Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2016 has seen , mobile sales  shift from tablets to smartphones over the past two years, mirroring a broader trend that saw the popularity of tablets fade in favor of large-screen smartphones.


This year black Friday sales plus combining purchases made on Thanksgiving day, online shoppers in the US spent $5.27 billion by the end of Black Friday. According to Amazon data "Thanksgiving is quickly becoming one of the busiest mobile shopping days on Amazon in the US," the company said in an email post black Friday numbers. "It said that mobile orders from Amazon customers on Thanksgiving Day exceeded both Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday 2015."The apparent consumer dissonance with physical retail sales was evident when only 23 percent of US consumers said they planned to shop in stores after Thanksgiving this year, compared with 28 percent last year, according to data from Bank Rate.Also 2016 Black Friday saw US shoppers buy $1.2 billion in purchases with their phones and tablets on Friday, the first time in US retail history that mobile revenue exceeded $1 billion in one day, according to data released by Adobe. 

In terms of the fastest selling products,Adobe said the five top selling electronic products on Black Friday were Apple's iPads, Samsung's 4K TVs, the Apple MacBook Air, LG's TVs and Microsoft's Xbox. According to Adobe Digital Insights..Meanwhile  the total online sales for the five-day period from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday amounted to $12.8 billion, with Cyber Monday marking the single biggest online shopping day in history. Black Friday and Cyber Monday were also the first days in history that cracked $1 billion in mobile sales. Desktop online shopping on thanksgiving day slipped 9% to 60% as compared to 71% in 2014.While ecommerce sales from  Smartphone  alone saw  a rise of 14% from 13% in 2014 to 27% this year.While Black Friday ecommerce sales from Smartphone  showed a growth of 13% from 12% in 2014 to 25% this year in 2016.Cyber Monday online sales saw the highest growth with mobiles contributing to 22% of total ecommerce sales on the day. Desktop powered online shopping saw a significant drop of 10% on Cyber monday from 79% in 2014 to 69% in 2016
