Microsoft reinvents certifications for Cloud

Microsoft is changing the Microsoft Certification Program (MCP) to meet the growing skills gap in the technology industry, specifically the Cloud.

Microsoft has created three levels – Associate, Expert and Master to make it clearer for the professionals to plan their career path and plan which certifications they need to reach the desired competency levels.

The certification levels are now updated to be more solution-oriented, while keeping in check the industry’s dynamic changes, and at the same time ensuring quality and relevance.

The demand for Cloud Technologies is on an upward slope, and forecasts predict that IT cloud service will generate almost 14 million jobs worldwide between now and 2015.

Microsoft is reinventing their trademark certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) for Cloud. The new MCSE certification proves that you have the necessary skills to tackle the new expanding technologies. It is for professionals who plan to implement cloud solutions in their companies. It Is for IT Professionals and Developers who are skilled in working with Microsoft Technology Solutions.

“The new Microsoft certifications are raising the bar across the industry and reflect industry shifts that require a broader knowledge base and deeper skills across solutions that cloud computing requires,” said Don Field, Microsoft’s senior director of Product Management. “The Microsoft certifications reflect the experience and skills needed to build, manage and evolve solutions in a cloud-based environment, ensuring validation of real-world skills for individuals and helping hiring managers identify the best-qualified job candidates.”
