CompTIA has announced a new community called Advancing Woman in IT, which is dedicated to "empowering women with the knowledge and skills necessary to help their pursuit of successful IT careers, as well as to inspire women to enter the IT field as a career choice". In a recent post, we saw that only 18% of the UK IT workforce is female so communities like these are vital to fill this gap in the industry. It provides mentorship and networking opportunities and consistently develops programs and initiatives.
