The African Country of Zimbabwe's average local broadband speed exceeded 6.5 Mbps, which is a new high | Techzim

"Zimbabwe’s average local broadband speed has reached a new high of 6.5 Mbps in the month of May according to NetIndex. Before now, the highest average ever reached was 5.8Mbps. Local broadband speed, loosely explained, is the rate at which one can access internet content from a locally hosted website or app. 

This ranks Zimbabwe among the countries with the highest local broadband speed in Sub Saharan Africa with only Ghana, Kenya, Namibia and Madagascar ahead who have 7 Mbps, 7.2 Mbps, 10.4 Mbps and 13.2 Mbps respectively According to Techzim- Other countries in the region – South Africa, Angola, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Mozambique and others – all have local broadband speeds below 5.5 Mbps in the month of May.

This  data by statistic shows the market share of search engines in the United States, from 2008 onwards  to  April 2014 by share of search queries. In January 2014, Microsoft's Bing  handled 18.3% and in April this was upto 20%  of all search queries in the United States. Google  continues to be the undaunted and unchallenged Leader with over 65% of search marketshare this year .During the same period of time, Yahoo had a search market share of 10.4% down from 20% in 2011..

This statistic shows the number of core search queries processed by the top four online search engines in the United States as of April 2014. During that month, Yahoo processed 1.86 billion search queries and market leader Google processed 12.58 billion search queries.

The combined value of the Top 100 has nearly doubled since the first ranking was produced in 2006. The Top 100 today are worth $2.9 trillion, an increase of 49% compared with the 2008 valuation, which marked the start of the banking and currency crisis.

Google Pips Apple to become the Top Global Brand: Brandz ZTM Top 100 Most Valueable Brand Ranking Released

Among the top 100  Global  Most Valuable Brand as Ranked by Brandz, Top 100 , Google and Apple is ranked no 1 and 2 respectively . IBM has  held onto its No 3 position with a brand value of $108 billion.

The Top Global Brands for 2014 is  out, and Google has overtaken Apple to become the world’s most valuable global brand in the 2014 in the  Brand ZTM Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brand ranking, worth $159 billion, an increase of 40% year on year. 
After 3 years of consecutively ranking number 1 at top , Apple slipped to No 2 on the back of a 20% decline in brand value, to $148 billion. Many attribute the "  lack  of innovation at   Apple  " as compared to when its  founder and CEO Steve Jobs was at the helm. Google in contrast has continued to redefine " technology" and  has been seen as a  brand that is seen to  " disrupt and change the market where it enters,  ( Android today has a global  60% over marketshare ).. and it has been able to achieve this is just 6 years of its launch
