With Tapering Growth,Twitter launches tagging option, upto 10 ,without impacting the 140 character limit

Twitter apes Facebook, rolls out photo tagging, and  introduced two new mobile features that aim to make the largely text-based platform more visual — and, as a result, more social. Now using the Twitter iPhone or Android app, users can tag up to 10 people in an image in a tweet. 

Twitter's t  option of tagging users" in the tweet is perhaps" influenced by Facebook, as the viral collaboration 

ensurs that a large number of users can view and in turn share and tag others, thereby making it all the more social and visible 

Up to 10 people can be tagged in a single  photo and the new feature will not affect the character count, as the 

full 140-character limit will be available to users even if they tag 10 people. Whenever people are tagged in 

photos, they will get a notification. "

Twitter has allowed users to select whether or not they want to be tagged in photos under the Settings menu. "

has added a new feature to let users tag up to 10 friends in photos. It's also launched a feature to let iPhone  

Twusers upload multiple photos - up to four - in a Tweet and plans to bring the capability to the Android app 

and to Twitter.com

An important part of this feature is that tagging people doesn’t affect your character count — tweeters will still have 140 characters to play around with.
