As of Jan, 2015 WhatsApp's subscribers amount to approx 700million, with 30billion messages daily . Taking into account the growth rate of 75% for WhatsApp from 2013 onwards,It is expected to reach around 1.2 billion users by Jan,2016 . In contrast Facebook as of June 2014 had 1.23 billion users.Facebook took 25 months to move from 200million, something WhatsApp managed to do in 21months . The road to a billion doesn't seem to far for WhatsApp milestone
